Asbestos Surveyor – Gold Standard

£28-32k Salary, 5.6 weeks holiday, company vehicle, expenses, overnight allowance and pension.

We are not looking for a “housing stock surveyor”. Whilst undertaking a large degree of surveying work the Gold Standard Surveyor must be able to handle account management and client liaison.  You must have the initiative to act commercially, offer legally compliant advice and manage a portfolio of our clients who will rely on your expertise. You’ll also be capable of taking less experienced surveyors under your wing. Obviously, there are some prerequisites:

• BOHS P402, or RSPH minimum qualification.

• Experienced lead surveyor.

• Able to offer consultancy advice on Duty to Manage 2012.

• Competent in industrial and commercial surveys with a full UK driving licence.

• Able to carry out inspections and investigations.

• Usually based across South Wales, Bristol and Wiltshire.

• Occasional travel further a field and overnight stays required.

• Good IT and numeracy skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Good working knowledge of HSG:264 guidelines and the health and safety legislation in relation to asbestos.

• Able to secure leads from surveys for our removal department.

• Must be confident and have an excellent telephone manner as receiving and following up on telephone enquiries with minimum supervision is essential. 

• Must be experienced in TEAMS or equivalent.

• Must have excellent organisational ability. This doesn’t just mean paperwork and arranging dates, time and venues etc. It also means clear communication of detail to those who need to know.

• Must be highly flexible and recognise, no two days are the same.

• Must take pride in their work and appearance and have confidence in their approach.
