They should never influence survey findings or clearance testing. Their responsibility is to deliver the work, not define what needs doing.
4. Analysts
Analysts provide the independent scientific evidence you need for assurance. They:
Take bulk samples to confirm whether materials contain asbestos.
Carry out air monitoring, including reassurance and background testing.
Conduct the four-stage clearance procedure to confirm an area is safe for reoccupation after licensed removal.
Analysts should always be contracted directly by you (or your consultant), never by the removal contractor, to ensure impartiality and trust in the results.
