We assess the competence of the surveyor and the surveying company. To ensure they meet the highest standards, we look for organisations accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) as compliant with ISO 17020:2015 for asbestos surveys. This accreditation ensures the surveyor is recognised for their professionalism and adherence to industry standards.

When selecting a surveyor, we ask for detailed information about their qualifications. We request a CV for each surveyor who will be working on your contract. We make sure they have the necessary qualifications such as the P402 (British Institute of Occupational Hygiene, BIOH) certification, which confirms that the surveyor has passed a formal exam and is qualified to carry out asbestos surveys. This is the minimum qualification for any surveyor involved in asbestos work.
