Why World Mental Health Day 2025 Matters to Kusten Vorland.
Weāll be marking World Mental Health Day, a global day that reminds us that good mental health is something we all have, and something we can all look after together.
The theme for World Mental Health Day 2025 is āAccess to Services- Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergenciesā. It highlights the importance of ensuring everyone, everywhere, can reach the support they need, even in the most challenging times.
Here at Kusten Vorland, we know that support starts with simple, everyday actions. Thatās why weāll be hosting a āTea & Talkā session in our kitchen. Itās a chance to step away from busy work schedules, share a cup of tea (and some cake!), and take a few moments to chat and connect.
š° What is āTea & Talkā?
āTea & Talkā is all about starting conversations, because talking about how we feel can make a real difference. Sometimes itās hard to open up, and thatās where our conversation starter cards come in.
Weāll have a selection of fun and thoughtful questions to get the conversation flowing:
š« How are you feeling today?
šŖ What biscuits go best with a cup of tea?
š¶ Whatās your favourite song and why?
šæ What do you do to reduce stress?
āļø What have you enjoyed about today?
š¬ Is there anything you want to talk about?
You can use the cards in pairs, small teams, or larger groups, wherever people are chatting together. The aim isnāt to take turns formally, but to share naturally, listen, and enjoy a relaxed space to talk.
š Why Weāre Doing This
Conversations like these might seem simple, but they help build connection, empathy, and understanding all vital for positive mental wellbeing. Whether weāre talking about something light-hearted or something more personal, every chat counts.
Taking time to listen to one another strengthens our sense of community and reminds us that weāre not alone in how we feel.
So, letās enjoy some tea, cake, and good company and make time to talk.
Because sometimes, the smallest conversations can make the biggest difference.
šæ Our Ongoing Commitment to Wellbeing
At Kusten Vorland, we believe that supporting mental health isnāt just about one day, itās about creating a culture of care all year round.
Through initiatives like Tea & Talk, wellbeing training, and continued engagement with resources such as the HSEās Working Minds campaign, weāre committed to building an open, supportive environment where every colleague feels valued and heard.
Whether itās managing workplace risks like asbestos exposure or addressing stress and fatigue, our goal is always the same, to protect people and promote wellbeing in every sense.
š¬ Letās Keep the Conversation Going
As we continue our work to make environments safer and healthier, letās remember that wellbeing extends beyond physical safety.
